Moroccan Student’s Death Linked to Pre-Existing Health Issues, Officials Say

A student at the Ibn Khaldoun high school in Safi died after losing consciousness, due to heart and blood pressure problems. According to the provincial directorate of Safi (Regional Academy of Education and Training of the Marrakech-Safi region), her teacher is "in no way involved in this tragic situation".
The tragedy occurred on February 10 at the Mohammed V hospital in Safi, where she had been taken after fainting in class. According to testimonies received and published by some media, the student would have been stressed by the teacher, thus causing her death.
But a press release from the provincial directorate of the Ministry of National Education indicated that "this tragedy was caused by the health history that the deceased was dragging, who even had an appointment with her attending physician on February 14.
The same source indicates that the Provincial Directorate, as soon as it was informed of the fainting incident, contacted the civil protection, which transported the student to the provincial hospital where she finally passed away.
