Moroccan Student Achieves Record-Breaking 19.19/20 Score in National Baccalaureate Exam

Safia Lahbib, 17, brilliantly obtained her baccalaureate with an overall average of 19.19/20 in Physical Sciences (French option), the highest average recorded in the Marrakech-Safi region.
The high average obtained by the studious student Safia Lahbib is only the crowning of her efforts and her brilliant academic career in Moroccan private education, and more precisely in the "La Fontaine" institution. An exceptional journey carried out with the support of her parents and the accompaniment of her teachers.
"Thanks to seriousness, perseverance and strong will, Safia was able to overcome all obstacles and constraints, including adapting to distance learning imposed due to confinement and the intense heat that marks this summer season in Marrakech," says Safia’s father proudly to the MAP.
Safia plans to pursue her higher education at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy. Determined to achieve her goal, she has already started revising to take the entrance exam to this institution.
The success rate for this first session of the 2020 baccalaureate is 61.78%. In the Marrakech-Safi region, 22,264 candidates, including 12,243 girls (54.99%), successfully passed this exam.
