Moroccan Striker Hamdallah Tops List of Highest-Paid National Players

Moroccan international Abderrazak Hamdallah is now the best-paid Moroccan player, thanks to the renewal of his contract in Saudi Arabia. With his huge salary, the Atlas Lion far exceeds his teammates, except for Achraf Hakimi, who is about to sign a big contract.
The ranking of the best-paid players, made by the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar, places the Moroccan footballer at the top of the list. The An-Nasr striker has the highest salary and now earns 60 million dirhams annually. His salary has recently increased following the 3-year extension of his contract with the Saudi club An-Nasr.
The 2nd best-paid player is the former captain of the national team, Medhi Benatia, with a salary of 51 million dirhams. He is followed by the best player in the Eredivisie, Hakim Ziyech, who is on his way to Chelsea. The former Ajax Amsterdam playmaker will now earn the tidy sum of 50 million dirhams as an annual salary.
In 4th place is Younès Belhanda, the Galatasaray midfielder. He earns an annual salary of 35 million dirhams. The 5th best-paid player is Noureddine Amrabat, whose annual salary at An-Nasr is 32 million dirhams, compared to 26 million dirhams for Achraf Hakimi at Borussia Dortmund. As for the other Atlas Lions players, their salaries range between 15 and 5 million dirhams annually.
