Moroccan Stars Hakimi and Abdelhamid Nominated for Maghreb Player of the Year Award

Two Moroccans are among the ten players that France Football has nominated for the "Maghreb Player of the Year" award.
Achraf Hakimi and Yunis Abdelhamid are the two players who are on the list of the first five nominees for the "Maghreb Player of the Year" award.
The first is a Bundesliga vice-champion and winner of the local Supercup. Achraf Hakimi has put in very good performances with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. The second is considered one of the three best central defenders in Ligue 1. Yunis Abdelhamid has participated in all of Stade de Reims’ matches this season in Ligue 1 where he has shone through his professionalism.
The other three nominees among the first five are Algerian champions. They are Ismaël Bennacer, Ramy Bensebaini and Riyad Mahrez. The latter could succeed Anice Badri (Espérance de Tunis, Tunisia), who won 4 titles (Premier League, League Cup, Community Shield and FA Cup) with Manchester City.
France Football will unveil the names of the other 5 nominees this Sunday. The "Maghreb Player of the Year" award will follow the presentation of the Ballon d’Or trophies.
