Moroccan Soccer Star Mohamed Abarhoun Dies at 31 After Cancer Battle

Moroccan international Mohamed Abarhoun, playing in the Süper Lig (Turkey), died on Wednesday morning at the age of 31, after a long battle against cancer.
Former defender of the Moghreb de Tétouan, Mohamed Abarhoun had been forced to hang up his boots and abandon his international career, after discovering the terrible disease.
Playing for the Turkish club Caykur Rizepor, the central defender was being treated in a hospital in Turkey. Two weeks before his death, he had announced his upcoming return to the stadiums.
Born on May 5, 1989 in Tétouan, Mohamed Abarhoun played for Moghreb de Tétouan, before embarking on an international career in 2017.
