Moroccan Soccer Star Honors Tragic Well Victim with Goal Celebration

By scoring a goal this Sunday in the match that opposed La Gantoise to FC Bruges, the Moroccan international, Tarik Tissoudali, paid tribute to Rayan, who died after five days trapped at the bottom of a dry well near Chefchaouen.
An assist in the 36th minute and a goal in the 67th, Tarik Tissoudali was the architect of La Gantoise’s victory, Sunday, February 6, against FC Bruges (2-1), as part of the 26th matchday of the Belgian championship. After scoring, the Atlas Lion removed his jersey revealing a t-shirt bearing the inscription "Rayane, we belong to God and to Him we return". His message was accompanied by a heart. As required by the regulations, he received a yellow card for removing his jersey.
In the Jupiler Pro League standings, La Gantoise is 6th with 40 points (11 wins, 7 draws and 8 losses). In 22 appearances, Tissoudali has scored 11 goals and provided 3 assists.
