Moroccan Singer Zina Daoudia Clarifies 3 Million Dirham Payment for Ad, Not Concert

Moroccan singer Zina Daoudia responded to rumors that she received 3 million dirhams for an artistic performance.
This amount did not concern a concert, but an advertisement for a private company, clarified Zina Daoudia, specifying that she pays her taxes like all other Moroccans. Also, she insisted that the mentioned amount does not concern only the singer but includes her musical group and many expenses necessary for the production of an artistic work. Continuing, the performer explained that she was not obliged to justify how she spends her money and that she would not flaunt the charitable works she undertakes, because her goal, she adds, is to please God and work for the hereafter, and not to gain the approval of the public.
Zina Daoudia is among the singers who will perform at the "Mawazine... Rhythms of the World" festival to be held from June 21 to 29, 2024 in Rabat and Salé. During a press conference on the sidelines of the event, she said she had started preparing her concert for this global festival two weeks ago with her musical group in order to present herself in an exceptional and different way to her audience. She promised that she will perform a set of old and new songs.
