Moroccan Singer Abdelaziz Stati Slams Culture Ministry Over Artist Aid Exclusion

The Moroccan singer Abdelaziz Stati cannot believe that he was excluded from the financial aid granted by the Ministry of Culture to Moroccan artists. The artist said he was outraged by this attitude, which he described as discriminatory.
This situation was experienced by the singer as a form of humiliation towards a figure of popular art with a rich artistic heritage. The man could not hide his distress in a publication on Facebook.
"I don’t know what popular art represents for the Ministry of Culture, and I don’t know why people are being mocked and why the ministry announced exceptional aid for artists, when it’s always the same names that benefit from it," he wondered.
"The ministry didn’t even bother to inquire about the health of a singer who has dedicated 45 years of his life to the service of popular art. It is inconceivable that an artist with such great notoriety should be humiliated in this way," he added.
For the singer, who had recently undergone successful surgery, it would have been wise to allocate this financial aid to the construction of hospitals and schools or to underprivileged social classes.
