Moroccan Shepherd Found Dead in Spain, Civil Guard Investigates

The lifeless body of a 52-year-old Moroccan shepherd was found on Friday in Calanda (Aragon) on a road leading to Andorra. The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the death.
The victim has head injuries, but the cause of death would be natural, the Civil Guard said. However, an autopsy will be performed by the Zaragoza Forensic Institute to be sure. The shepherd had been working for seven years on a sheep farm in Calanda. As usual, he was supposed to meet his brother-in-law at 4 p.m. to return together to Calanda. Not seeing him at the usual meeting place, the brother-in-law tried in vain to reach him by phone. He therefore decided to go to his workplace. On the way, he finds the shepherd’s body.
