Moroccan Serial Kidnapper Arrested: Targeted 18 Minors Near Schools

Prosecuted for kidnapping, sequestration, rape, violence and assault and identity theft, the kidnapper of 18 young girls in several Moroccan localities was finally arrested by the services of the Royal Gendarmerie on Saturday, November 9.
Subject to several national arrest warrants, the individual, born in 1987 in the Chiahna district in the suburbs of Skhirat, was posing as an important personality.
He had taken to roaming near schools in a rented luxury car to attract the attention of his victims, minors in general, before taking them to the forests of Benslimane, Mohammedia or Tamesna, where he committed his crimes: raping them under threat of a knife, taking their money and jewelry and abandoning them in the middle of the forest.
The arrest of the kidnapper took place last Saturday in Skhirat, following the statement of two victims who had spotted him near a pharmacy in the city. Despite his attempt to bribe the gendarmerie elements, the individual was taken into custody, on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office.
It was decided to seize the rental car and extend the duration of the suspect’s custody, pending the statement of other young girls whose number is likely to exceed 18 victims. According to the daily Assabah, some have chosen to drop the proceedings, out of fear of scandal and dishonor.
