Moroccan Security Forces Disperse Unauthorized Protest in Fnideq, Injuring Six

The security forces dispersed on Friday an unauthorized sit-in in Fnideq. This demonstration was held, according to the local authorities, in violation of the provisions of the state of emergency.
This unauthorized sit-in took place on Mohammed V Boulevard and was marked by several incidents.
According to a statement from the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, the protesters blocked the public highway, thus forcing the security forces to intervene and disperse the crowd, "in strict compliance with regulations and legal provisions".
During this operation, protesters resisted by throwing stones at the police. Six of them were injured and taken to the hospital, the statement added.
Among the protesters, a scuffle caused fainting cases. About ten people were taken to the hospital, the same source said, specifying that an investigation has been opened to determine the responsibilities of the troublemakers.
