Moroccan Scientist Wins Prestigious German 'Green Talents' Award for Sustainable Architecture Research

Moroccan researcher Karima El Azhary is one of the 25 international recipients of the 2019 Green Talents. This is a program that the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research has been implementing since 2009.

It was during a very simple ceremony that Karima El Azhary received her award in Berlin, Germany, among participants representing 97 countries.

This distinction is a sign of the recognition of her project on the methods of developing building insulation, bioclimatic architecture, energy efficiency and sustainability.

It is also a sign of the recognition of the actions and initiatives of the Moroccan researcher, which have had an impact on many young people who have implemented projects focused on social affairs and sustainable development.

Confiding to MAP, Karima El Azhary indicated that this distinction represented for her an honor, a pride as well as the crowning of a long research career on sustainable development.

Similarly, she assures that this award confirms the high skills of Moroccan researchers in all fields.

Karima El Azhary is delighted with this experience which allowed her to share her knowledge and know-how with the other participants in the Science Forum for Talented Young Researchers, organized under the slogan, "Smart green planet" - "Solutions for a sustainable future".
