Moroccan School Faces Decade-Long Water Crisis, Parents Demand Action

It is since 2014 that the students of the Khalid Ben Oualid school in Fqih Bensalah have been deprived of water in a most dramatic situation. This is also the case for the teaching staff and the administrative staff.
Since its opening, and precisely the 2014-2015 school year, the Khalid Ben Oualid school in Fqih Bensalah has not had running water. But this year was perhaps the drop of non-potable water that overflowed the vase. The parents’ association of this school has taken the lead!
The association has "put the mayor of the city on notice" to solve the problem concretely and for the school to finally have drinking water.
In a statement from this association, we can read: "despite the many promises concerning the supply of drinking water to the school, whether from the previous mayor or the previous regional director of education, the problem is still current".
The current regional director would have been solicited to solve this problem via a letter in December 2017, which remained unanswered.
It should be noted that a water tank was made available to the school in 2016, raising many health concerns...
