Moroccan Salafist Cleric Celebrates Taliban’s Return to Power in Afghanistan

While the situation in Afghanistan is worrying, the Moroccan Salafist Hassan Kettani is happy with the return of the Taliban to Kabul, 20 years after the overthrow of their regime.
Hassan Kettani is satisfied with the takeover of power in Kabul and he does not hide it. "This is one of the days of God, a day of joy, happiness and joy. God is great and thank God very much, Praise be to God who has prolonged our lives to see this day, and while we cried 20 years ago for the fall of the Islamic Emirate, we cry today with joy at its return," wrote Hassan Kettani.
On Sunday, the Taliban managed to reconquer the country. At least a large part of Afghanistan. Chaos quickly set in. Many Afghans stormed Kabul’s international airport to flee the country. Some were able to take off, while others were not so lucky. The situation is worrying the international community. "I am deeply concerned by reports of human rights violations against women and girls in Afghanistan," Antonio Guterres wrote on Twitter. We must not let them down."
The withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan has favored the return of the Islamist movement, but US President Joe Biden does not regret it. He even defended this decision on Monday. He also said the United States would recognize a Taliban-led government in Afghanistan if they respect women’s rights and reject terrorism.
