The Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery warns against the use of fake photos of Princess Lalla Latifa, widow of the late King Hassan II and mother of King Mohammed VI, who died on Saturday at the age of 78.

"Following the announcement of the death of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, may God have her in His Holy Mercy, it has been noted an unfortunate use on social networks, of inauthentic and false photographs, attributed to the Late Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa," says the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery in a statement. It calls "on all citizens to respect the relevant laws and the mourning of the Illustrious Royal Family."

Princess Lalla Latifa, widow of the late King Hassan II and mother of King Mohammed VI, Princesses Lalla Meryem, Lalla Asma, Lalla Hasna and Prince Moulay Rachid, died on Saturday, June 29 at the age of 78. Her father, Hassan ould Mouha ou Hammou Zayani, was the pasha of Khénifra and a respected figure in the region. On November 9, 1961, Lalla married King Hassan II.
