Moroccan Royal Family Prepares Traditional Ramadan Sweets as Holy Month Begins

Like many Moroccan families, that of Prince Moulay Ismail, cousin of King Mohammed VI, prepared for the month of Ramadan which began in Morocco and many Arab countries on Thursday, March 23.
On Instagram, Lalla Anissa Lehmkuhl posted photos of her daughters learning to prepare the famous Moroccan chebakias. In the published images, we see the daughters of Prince Moulay Ismail kneading the dough, shaping it into beautiful flowers before immersing them in a mixture of honey and roasted sesame seeds.
In Morocco, the month of Ramadan rhymes with the supply of pastry products for both the beginning and the breaking of the fast. This is the case of Chebakia, a traditional pastry that Moroccans are particularly fond of, especially during Ramadan.
