Moroccan Rights Group Urges King to Repatriate Citizens Stranded Abroad Amid Crisis

The situation of Moroccans stranded abroad, most of whom are squatting in airports, remains worrying. The Moroccan League for Citizenship and Human Rights (LMCDH) has addressed an appeal to King Mohammed VI to order their repatriation.
According to the president of the LMCDH, Driss Sedraoui, "the Moroccans who remain stranded in foreign countries are living in humanly tragic situations". Among them are those who have left their children alone, pregnant women, patients who have undergone surgical procedures, and families without any income or permanent residence in Morocco, reports Hespress, which points out that "the embassies of the kingdom abroad are not able to guarantee their accommodation, food and transport".
Regarding Europe, the association indicated that "European countries see no objection to organizing flights under the supervision of the Moroccan authorities". The LMCDH assures that the repatriated Moroccans "will undergo a 14-day quarantine, before being allowed to join their families".
