Moroccan Rights Chief Links Judge’s Suicide to ’Hamza mon bb’ Blackmail Case

The President of the Moroccan Human Rights Council, Mohamed El Moudimi, made shocking statements on the sidelines of the trial of 3 individuals prosecuted in the Hamza mon bb case.
The president announced to the press that the "Hamza mon bb gang" would be behind the suicide of the judge at the court of first instance in Marrakech, Merbouh, who had ended his life under mysterious circumstances on the day of Aid Al adha, in 2015.
Being in contact with several nationals from the Gulf, the gang would have put pressure on the magistrate, who was handling a large number of their real estate cases.
According to El Moudimi, the Hamza mon bb gang would infringe on the privacy of citizens and officials, including magistrates and lawyers, by filming them in the most intimate situations, in total violation of their rights.
Determined to fight his battle to the end, the president specified that the National Human Rights Center intends to submit a detailed report to the Attorney General’s Office, while requesting the opening of an investigation into the death of the investigating judge.
