Moroccan Provincial Governor, 63, Dies from COVID-19 Complications

The news came on Wednesday, December 30. Hassan Abdelkhalki, governor of the province of Tan Tan, died at the age of 63 from Covid-19.
He was hospitalized awaiting recovery, when complications arose, dashing all hope. Born on June 1, 1957, in Larache, Hassan Abdelkhalki holds a bachelor’s degree in law and is a graduate of the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration.
The deceased began his career in 1982 as a civil law practitioner in the province of El Jadida. Versatile, he held many positions of responsibility. In 1988, he was appointed caïd at the prefecture of Rabat, before being transferred to the prefecture of Casablanca-Anfa, in 2001 in the same functions. In 2006, he was promoted to circle chief in the province of Settat. He held the same functions at the prefecture of Meknes in 2007, reports Le360.
From October 13, 2010 to August 25, 2014, he was promoted to secretary general of the province of Taounate, then to the province of Sidi Kacem. Governor Hassan Abdelkhalki was married and the father of four children.
