Moroccan Prosecutor: Tourist Deaths Linked to Extremist Group, Manhunt Underway

The suspect arrested on Tuesday by the police services following the death of the two tourists belongs to an extremist group, the Attorney General of the King at the Court of Appeal of Rabat has just announced.
The other suspects have been identified and the searches are currently underway for their arrest, the prosecutor specified.
"The investigations are also being carried out to ensure the veracity of the video sequence broadcast on social networks, testifying to the crime of murder of one of the two tourists," the prosecutor also indicates, adding that "the public will be informed of the results of the investigation at the appropriate time".
On Monday morning, the bodies of the two young women, Ueland Maren, a 28-year-old Norwegian, and Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, a 24-year-old Danish woman, were found 10 km from the town of Imlil by tourists and mountain guides.
