Moroccan Prison Officials Refute Claims of Abuse in Inmate Death Investigation

The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) has denied the allegations of aggression or unlawful treatment suffered by the deceased prisoner, (M.H), who died on October 13.
The administration, in a clarification, indicated that an inspection general commission was dispatched to investigate the circumstances of the death of the prisoner (M.H), detained in the local prison of Nador.
In its report, the said commission concluded that since his incarceration on October 8, the deceased had not suffered any aggression or unlawful treatment.
