Moroccan Prince Expelled from Tunisia Ahead of Arab Spring Conference

Prince Moulay Hicham reflects on his expulsion from Tunisia, where he was to participate in a conference on the Arab Spring, organized by the French media Le Monde diplomatique.
Invited to the conference on the Arab Spring, organized by the French media Le Monde diplomatique, Prince Moulay Hicham was unable to attend. As soon as he arrived at Tunis airport, the police prevented the cousin of King Mohammed VI and his wife from entering the country, without justifying this decision. He still participated remotely in the conference by giving a presentation on the theme of the Arab Spring, its genesis and its consequences, particularly in Tunisia.

"This is a special occasion for me for two reasons: first, I have a lot of love and a deep attachment to Tunisia as a culture and civilization [...] as well as my strong attachment to Le Monde Diplomatique."
