Moroccan Politicians Embrace Cosmetic Procedures to Enhance Public Image

More and more political leaders around the world are resorting to plastic or cosmetic surgery to care for their appearance and image. In Morocco, although a few cases can be noted, the practice seems less common.
The former minister and current vice-president of the first Chamber, Mohamed Ouzzine, after various unsuccessful treatments of traditional and modern medicine to hide his spots, finally decided to resort to plastic surgery and have hair implants, reports the daily Al Akhbar.
To a lesser extent, the former Minister of Culture, Bensalem Himmich, who paid a lot of attention to his appearance, has always worn a wig that the public, and even his closest collaborators, took for real hair, the daily adds.
Going further back in time, it also mentions the case of the president of the first government of Morocco after independence, M’Barek El Bekkay, a disabled person who wore a wooden prosthesis. He had lost a leg during World War II. The daily also mentions the case of the Franco-Moroccan, Rachida Dati, former Keeper of the Seals, who also had her face retouched by resorting to plastic surgery.
Clearly, many leaders and political officials around the world do not hesitate to resort to plastic surgery to care for their image and appearance.
