Moroccan Political Leader Abdelouahed Radi Dies at 88 in Paris

Abdelouahed Radi, former President of the House of Representatives and leader of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), died on Sunday in a Parisian clinic where he was hospitalized for treatment. This sad news was confirmed by his relatives.
Born in Salé in 1935, Abdelouahed Radi is considered one of the founders of the National Union of Popular Forces (UNFP) in 1959, which is currently the USFP. He was elected first secretary of the party at the eighth congress in November 2008. In addition to his political commitment, the deceased also contributed to the creation of several educational and cultural associations and organizations.
As a parliamentarian, Abdelouahed Radi had been elected for the first time in 1963, before being re-elected several times, including during the current legislature. He had also been President of the House
