Moroccan Police Uncover Mask Trafficking Ring Linked to Agadir Airport Arrest

Investigators have managed to uncover the accomplices of the Englishman of Indian origin, arrested at Massira airport in Agadir, in possession of 17,000 medical masks.
An Agadir pharmacist, a Casablanca hardware merchant and an intermediary. These are the alleged accomplices of the defendant who was trying to travel with 17,000 masks to protect against the coronavirus. According to the police investigation, several people, including a pharmacist in Agadir and the owner of a drugstore in Casablanca, are involved in this traffic of medical masks, reports Al Akhbar.
The owner of the pharmacy would have bought the masks from the Casablanca merchant through an intermediary. The latter was responsible for conducting the negotiations with the English smuggler. The latter had ordered a large quantity that he wanted to resell in England at exorbitant prices. The intermediary puts him in contact with an Agadir pharmacist. The Englishman goes to Casablanca to stock up on masks from the hardware merchant. He will be thwarted in achieving his goal.
As he was about to board his flight to England, he was arrested by the police. The invoices the suspect presented to the airport customs in Agadir at the time of his arrest may lack authenticity.
