Moroccan Police Officers Disciplined After Politician’s Social Media Complaint

Two officers from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) serving at the Casablanca police prefecture have just suffered the consequences of a denunciation posted on social networks by the Secretary General of the Unified Socialist Party (PSU), Nabila Mounib.
In this case, the two police officers are accused of having failed in their professional obligations. Indeed, one of the police officers in charge of the reception and orientation service at the police prefecture "had failed in his mission to guide" Nabila Mounib who had come in person to file a complaint in a cybercrime case. His colleague, on the other hand, was sanctioned for having turned away the complainant in turn, while the service concerned is operational without interruption 24 hours a day.
Outraged by what she experienced at the Casablanca police prefecture, Ms. Mounib protested on social networks, claiming that the police service concerned no longer provides on-call duty. A protest that prompted an administrative investigation at the Casablanca prefecture. This investigation resulted in the officers concerned being cited for professional misconduct.
