Moroccan Police Hunt Rotterdam Man Suspected in Cousin’s Beach Stabbing

The Moroccan police have been searching for Soufiane B., a Moroccan from Rotterdam, accused of having stabbed to death a cousin on the beach of Al Hoceima, for almost two weeks now.
Soufiane B., 29, is actively being sought by the Moroccan police. Photos of him and his father, accompanied by threatening messages, are being posted on social media by the family of Hicham, 25, a cousin he allegedly stabbed to death in Al Hoceima, according to sources at De Telegraaf. "These are the two devils who took our Hicham! If you see or hear anything, please contact the Moroccan police! Or someone from the family," the Hicham family posted.
According to other sources, Soufiane and his father would have fled to Melilla after the murder of Hicham, from where they would have joined Europe. The victim died from a stab wound to the chest during the night of July 31, in a dispute with Soufiane B. over a matter of thousands of euros that got out of hand. Hicham’s death has sparked the anger of Moroccans in Rotterdam-North where the victim and the accused live, who have launched calls for revenge on social media.
Last week, during the night from Thursday to Friday, the house of Soufiane and his parents (who are currently in Morocco), located on Rembrandt Street in Rotterdam, was the target of an explosion. Two men, aged 23 and 24, were arrested by the Dutch police and presented to the competent investigating judge who ordered their pre-trial detention. An investigation has been opened and is ongoing. It could be an act of revenge, the Rotterdam Public Prosecution Service explained in a statement.
Soufiane B. is known to the Dutch police and justice system. He has just finished serving a five-month prison sentence for transporting 1218 grams of heroin. He would also have been involved in several other drug and weapons trafficking cases for which the Rotterdam court sentenced him to 23 months in prison.
