Moroccan Police Chief Honors Officer Who Thwarted ISIS Attack During Lockdown

A police officer in Bejaad, near Khouribga, attacked by a pro-Daesh during the state of emergency, was honored by the head of the General Directorate of National Security, for the sacrifices made.
While he was ensuring compliance with the state of emergency, established by the Ministry of the Interior, the police officer managed to thwart an attempted homicide, by allowing the arrest of a Moroccan fighter in the ranks of Daesh.
Having shown a "high sense of self-denial and bravery", the officer was honored by his director general, Abdellatif Hammouchi, who promoted him to the rank of chief commissioner.
In addition to the full coverage of hospitalization costs, the officer and his colleague, a police inspector, each received a financial bonus and a letter of commendation for their sacrifices.
