Moroccan Physiotherapist Describes Life Under India’s Strict COVID-19 Lockdown

Physiotherapist in a hospital in India, Laila Lahlou has been living in strict confinement since March 22, the date of the entry into force of the emergency measures in the country.
Like many countries around the world, India, with its estimated population of 1.3 billion, has imposed strict confinement measures, sometimes even resorting to force in certain situations, says the young MRE. But over the days, the population has ended up complying with the new rules.
Despite its proximity to China, India is less affected by the coronavirus, according to the figures reported by Laila Lahlou. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the country has recorded 10,541 cases, including 358 deaths and 1,205 recoveries (figures as of April 15).
Given the ban on gatherings (no more than 4 people), Laila does all her shopping online, through simple and practical mobile applications, in a country with a high population density.
