Moroccan Parliament Probes Illegal Beach Occupation by Villa Owners

The government is being called upon to explain itself in Parliament on the illegal occupation of the Sehb Eddahab (Val d’or) beach in Al Harhoura and the Dahomey beach in Bouznika after an oral question was addressed to it.
In Al Harhoura, owners of adjacent villas are illegally occupying the Sehb Eddahab (Val d’or) beach in Al Harhoura and the Dahomey beach in Bouznika. Originally, they had received authorization for temporary occupation of a limited space of the maritime domain. But they took advantage of this to occupy this space permanently, reports Al Massae. They have built villas with private gardens on the Dahomey beach, blocking passages.
Based on these findings, the deputies have addressed an oral question to the supervising minister. The government will not only have to provide explanations to the parliamentarians, but also order the illegal occupants to vacate the maritime space of Bouznika. This will allow the State to replenish the coffers of the Treasury General and allow vacationers to enjoy the beaches.
