Moroccan NGOs Condemn Rising Racism Against Sub-Saharan Migrants

Nearly twenty Moroccan non-governmental organizations (NGOs) join the many voices that have been rising for a few weeks to call for an end to the hateful and racist discourse targeting irregular sub-Saharan migrants.
In a statement, sixteen Moroccan NGOs, including the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH), denounced the racist insults and hateful acts to which irregular migrants are exposed "in the virtual and real public space in Morocco and in the Maghreb region".
They point out that these reprehensible acts are taking on alarming proportions "after the controversial remarks of the Tunisian president, Kaïs Saïed", who described sub-Saharan migrants as a "demographic threat" to his country. For the signatory associations of this statement
