Moroccan NGO Launches Hard-Hitting Film to Combat Child Labor Exploitation

The National Institute of Solidarity with Women in Distress (INSAF) is about to launch a "shocking" film on child labor. Titled "Arrests", this film aims to raise awareness about domestic work and the exploitation of children.
Produced in collaboration with the 109 agency, the film will be screened this Tuesday, November 26 in Casablanca, in the presence of the UNICEF representative in Morocco and senior national officials from the Ministries of National Education, Employment and Solidarity.
Despite numerous awareness campaigns and the existence of a law punishing child labor, the phenomenon remains current and goes against the rights of children, writes L’Économiste. INSAF believes that little has changed since the promulgation of law 19-12, the results are meager, the prosecutions too, thus deplores the association.
The launch of the film will also be followed by a debate during which, through the figures and realities on the ground, each stakeholder will be confronted with their responsibilities for a little more effort in respecting the rights of children.
