Moroccan Minister Recovers from COVID-19, Continues Work Remotely

The only member of the government infected with the coronavirus, Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, confined to his home, is doing much better.
"My health situation is rather normal and reassuring. The members of my family are doing well," Abdelkader Amara told MAP. He stated that he continues his ministerial duties remotely through telework. An option that, according to him, makes it possible to ensure the progress of work, in close coordination with the services of his ministry.
According to the Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, health precautions against the virus are essential, particularly quarantine, hygiene rules and constant respect for distance, even with the closest people. "That said, we are, in any case, leading a normal life," he added.
Back from an official mission in a European country, Abdelkader Amara felt an unexplained fatigue. Subjected to the necessary examinations and analyzes, he will test positive for COVID-19. From then on, he was placed in quarantine for 14 days.
