Moroccan Ex-Minister Defends Son’s Extravagant Wedding, Cites Son’s Own Wealth

Mohamed Moubdie, Deputy and former Minister of the Popular Movement, reacted to the criticism about the lavish wedding of his son, Adam.
"My son is a senior executive, an engineer who works in Paris for a multinational company, it is he who financed everything, because he has the means." This is how Mohamed Moubdie expressed himself, trying to put an end to the vain controversy that arose around the wedding of his son, Adam.
According to the former Minister of the Popular Movement, it is quite normal for his son to celebrate his wedding as he sees fit, reports Le 360. "Adam did not invite the Lebanese Nancy Ajram or the Iraqi Kadhem Saher for concerts," he denied.
Similarly, Mohamed Moubdie explained that "the spirit of tribal solidarity in the region has played according to tradition", which is why 200 sheep were slaughtered. But "my son Adam and the family received donations from the tribes. We are not going to refuse them," he added.
Adam Moubdie and a French national were married last Saturday in the presence of some 400 guests.
