Moroccan Military Fires on Suspicious Vehicles at Border, Suspected Drug Trafficking

An alert was triggered among the military units deployed at the Moroccan border in Bir Guendouz, as the elements of the Royal Armed Forces spotted suspicious vehicles last Saturday.
According to Akhbarona, gunshots were immediately fired at the convoys of vehicles, causing human and material damage, the extent of which has not been communicated.
The site adds that the cars were trying to cross the security wall towards the Tindouf camp, which suggests that it is a drug or drug trafficking network.
Buffer zone south of the Moroccan Sahara, Bir Gandouz is one of the key sectors where the FAR infantry units are deployed to block the way for the Polisario militias, along the border with Mauritania.
