Moroccan Media Icon Kaoutar Boudarraja Dies at 40: Trailblazer in Taboo-Breaking TV

The Moroccan presenter, journalist and model Kaoutar Boudarraja has died from an illness at the age of 40. The news has been officially confirmed by her loved ones.
Kaoutar Boudarraja became known to the general public in 2007 through her participation in the Star Academy Maghreb show, where her eloquence and outspokenness were noticed.
Following this media exposure, she was recruited by the television channel Nessma TV, where she had a career as a presenter that established her as a figure in the Maghreb audiovisual landscape since the mid-2000s. She notably presented the talk show "Interdit aux hommes" (Forbidden to Men), in which she addressed subjects considered taboo.
Beyond her activities in the media, Kaoutar Boudarraja also participated in social actions. In 2020, she became the ambassador in Morocco of the "Stand Up" program, an initiative aimed at combating street harassment.
