Moroccan Man Kills Religious Scholar Over Suspected Affair in Market Attack

A middle-aged family man stabbed to death, last Saturday, a fkih (religious scholar) he suspected of having an extramarital affair with his wife.
The incident occurred at the weekly souk (market), Sebt Ntouzoute, in the village of Afalla Issen, under the province of Chichaoua.
The investigation, conducted by the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Timezgadiouine, revealed that the accused, residing in the Ouaerste douar (rural community), had watched for the arrival of the fkih living in the Ouanedghigh douar, then followed him discreetly, writes the newspaper Aujourd’hui le Maroc.
The time to buy some watermelons was enough for the accused to attack his victim from behind. The latter, struggling and trying to identify his aggressor, was stabbed in the heart, several times.
Arriving at the crime scene, the gendarmes found the accused and the lifeless body of the victim, lying in a pool of blood.
