Moroccan Man Flown to France for Life-Saving Heart Transplant After Radio Appeal Raises $160,000

It took a radio show to save a young man from the city of Ouarzazate. He needed a heart transplant. A kitty of 1.75 million dirhams was collected thanks to the donations of benefactors.
The young man was transported yesterday, Thursday, October 3, by a medical plane to a hospital in France, where he will have to undergo a heart transplant operation requiring the sum of 1.6 million dirhams.
After knocking on all doors, the young man turned to a radio show, which broadcast his call for help. His request attracted the compassion of a dozen benefactors who decided to cover the entire cost of the operation.
According to the Aljarida24 website, the young man, who also benefited from a private medical plane, had applied to the National Social Security Fund, but his request had not been favorably received.
