Moroccan Man Critically Burned in Self-Immolation Attempt Near Spanish Police Station

A Moroccan national was seriously injured, his vital prognosis being engaged. He tried to immolate himself by fire, in front of a police station, in the town of Beniajan, 5 km from Murcia.
Witnesses on the spot reported that the Moroccan had sprayed himself with a flammable liquid before setting his body on fire. The serious injuries caused by the burns had required his emergency transfer to the Murcia hospital.
Despite the rapid intervention of the police services, who had managed to extinguish the fire, the Moroccan’s vital prognosis is very engaged, a large part of his body having been burned to the second degree.
The local press specifies that the individual was demanding the regularization of his wife’s administrative situation, in order to allow her to apply for a job.
