Moroccan Mafia Leaders Implicated in Marrakech Café Shooting Trial

Four years after the shooting at the "La Crème" café in Marrakech, new names are being cited in this case. These are eminent members of the Mocro Maffia or Moroccan mafia.
New revelations in the case of the shooting at the "La Crème" café in Marrakech. During the appeal trial, the two Dutchmen, Edwin Gabriel Robles Martinez, of Dominican origin, and Shardyone Girigorio Semerel, of Surinamese origin, who were sentenced to death by the Moroccan justice system, cited the names of eminent members of the Mocro Maffia. They would also be involved in this case. The two men mentioned the brother of Ridouan Taghi, the names of a group of prominent personalities from the criminal milieu of Utrecht and its surroundings who are still on the run and are likely staying in Dubai or Turkey, reports Barlamane.
The shooting occurred on November 2, 2017 at the "La Crème" café in Marrakech. The toll was one dead and two injured. The main accused had mistakenly shot a young medical intern from the Marrakech University Hospital, the café owner being their target. In total, 19 people involved in this case were tried before the court of first instance in the ochre city. Among these people, 13 were prosecuted while in custody. Some had been sentenced to 2 months in prison with probation, and others to 20 years in prison.
The two main accused, the Dutchmen, had been sentenced to the death penalty. The café owner, Mr. E., had received 15 years in prison, while his brother had been sentenced to eight years in prison. A Moroccan residing in the Netherlands had been arrested in October. Considered the mastermind of the shooting, he would have directed the execution of this operation. After his arrest, he was transferred to Marrakech and is the subject of a supplementary investigation.
