Moroccan E-Learning Platform Expands Arabic Lessons to English and Spanish Speakers

Since Thursday, October 15, the e-madrassa.ma platform, designed to facilitate the learning of the Arabic language, is available in English and Spanish. By doing so, the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Living Abroad is making it easier for children in the Moroccan community.
E-madrassa.ma was launched in December 2013 to allow French-speaking students to have some basic knowledge of the Arabic language, which could help them in writing and speaking. At the beginning of this adventure, French was the language of instruction and Arabic the one taught. But gradually, the need for diversification became imperative. Thus, in a progressive way and according to the expressed needs, the Italian language was introduced, and Spanish and English versions of the platform were launched.
The e-madrassa program has been designed to be accessible to all and offers facilities that allow anyone who wishes to learn the Arabic language in several lessons and in two levels. The first one allows learning the letters of the alphabet in 33 lessons, 7 assessments in addition to the passage assessments between modules and levels. As for the second level, it is presented in five parts: Learn, Exercises on learning, Tales, Exercises on tales and I tell with a letter.
At this level, the emphasis is on learning by theme through dialogues, videos and cartoons. The goal is to allow having knowledge related to themes such as family, nationality, friendship, travel, in a word, everything that is familiar. The platform currently has 69,500 registered students.
