Moroccan Koranic School Teacher Accused of Sexually Abusing Multiple Minors

A 49-year-old fqih practicing in the commune of Melloussa, province of Fahs-Anjra (Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region) for eight years is accused of having sexually abused several underage girls within the walls of a Koranic school.
At a time when the diversion, rape followed by the murder of Adnane Bouchouf, 11 years old, is making headlines, a new case of rape is shaking the city of Tangier. Several girls have been victims of sexual abuse by their fqih who arrived in their village in 2008.
The parents of the victims are in shock. "We only knew the truth thanks to a neighbor who managed to get my daughter to speak, who told her about the sexual touching that was done by the fqih. For us, it was a shock, it is unacceptable! We had her undergo a medical examination which attested to the rape. He raped my daughter," testifies the mother of one of the victims. She demands that justice be done for her daughter and the other victims.
