Moroccan King Urged to Intervene as Authorities Shut Down 35-Year-Old Tourist Complex in Fez

Owner of a large tourism and leisure project in Fez, a Moroccan Resident Abroad (MRE) has launched an appeal for help to King Mohammed VI. The authorities of the city proceeded to the closure of his project last February, without presenting the reasons.
The complex, which bears the name "Perle verte", had been operational for more than 35 years, before being closed by the services of the Wilaya of Fez. Wishing to know the reasons for this sudden closure, the owner failed to obtain justifications, except that the decision comes from the hierarchy.
The complex, which is one of the few leisure and tourism centers in the city, according to Hibapress, employs more than a hundred people, and contributes, according to the MRE, to the tourist development and the opening up of the spiritual city.
The owner wonders about the reasons justifying the decision to close his project, especially, he claims, that he returned to Morocco in order to boost the sector and encourage employment, and that it respects all the legal procedures in force.
