Moroccan King Facilitates Evacuation of Royal Family Members from Lebanon Amid Conflict

Following the intervention of King Mohammed VI, the family of the mother of Prince Moulay Hicham, Princess Lalla Lamia Essolh of Lebanon, has joined Rabat. A gesture greatly appreciated by the first cousin of the Moroccan sovereign.
The escalation between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah, which has caused more than a million displaced people, saddens Prince Moulay Hicham. "My eyes are crying, my heart is heavy with pain, and my soul is suffering for the loss of lives and the destruction that is striking my second country, our dear Lebanon. To date, there are one million displaced persons," he wrote in a post on Facebook.
Thanks to the intervention of King Mohammed VI, the family of his mother, Princess Lalla Lamia Essolh, was able to return to Rabat. "What comforts us in the midst of this drama is the welcome of our Lebanese family among our loved ones in Rabat," he rejoiced, not failing to express his gratitude to his first cousin. "I am grateful to the courageous people who have worked tirelessly for their departure, and I am deeply grateful to His Majesty King Mohammed VI who made our reunion possible," added the son of Prince Moulay Abdellah, brother of King Hassan II, and Lamia el-Solh, daughter of Riad el-Solh - the first Prime Minister of Lebanon after its independence.
