Moroccan Journalist Omar Radi Faces Trial for Criticizing Hirak Verdict on Twitter

While he is being prosecuted for "contempt of a magistrate", Moroccan journalist Omar Radi has an appointment this Thursday at the court of first instance in Casablanca.
The journalist is being prosecuted for a tweet in which he criticized the judge in the Hirak of the Rif case.
In this tweet, the journalist had denounced the verdict of a magistrate against the demonstrators. The latter had been sentenced to prison terms ranging from five to twenty years.
Omar Radi, who had been arrested and incarcerated at first in Casablanca, will be granted provisional release by the courts, while his trial had been postponed to March 5 by the court of first instance in Casablanca.
