Moroccan Journalist Challenges Uncle’s Views on Individual Freedoms After Prison Release

Freshly out of prison, journalist Hajar Raïssouni does not approve of the statements of her uncle, Ahmed Raïssouni, President of the World Union of Muslim Scholars, on the boundaries of individual freedoms.
According to Ahmed Raïssouni, the boundaries of individual freedoms are not limited to the sexual perversions advocated by progressives. The President of the World Union of Muslim Scholars also criticized, in a column, the Collective of 490, also known as the "Outlaws" and some of their demands.
This is about basing the law on the principle of gender equality and granting women the right to make unconstrained use of their faculties and their bodies. As a result, this former member of the PJD denounced "the implementation of a destructive modernization that reduces individual freedoms to sexual inclinations".
Ahmed Raïssouni’s statements quickly sparked reactions, including that of his niece. In a post on her Facebook page, Hajar Raïssouni believes that her uncle "acts in accordance with his theoretical and radical ethics". "He won’t change his matrix for me and will always express the same positions," the journalist wrote.
