Moroccan Journalist’s Accuser Speaks Out, Alleges AMDH Endangered His Life

Adam Muhammed, the alleged victim of sexual assault by the editor-in-chief of the daily Akhbar al-Yaoum, Souleimane Raissouni, breaks his silence. In a letter published on Facebook, he accuses the AMDH of having endangered his life.
On May 28, Adam Muhammed said he had received "the proposal of the president of the Moroccan Association of Human Rights to organize a listening meeting whose date will be determined later", certainly after the lifting of confinement.
Two days later, he was greatly surprised to hear the latter reveal his identity during his "shocking statement" on May 30.
According to certain sources, the president of the association "claims to have contacted Adam Muhammed after the dissemination of the content of his statement", and that the latter "would have decided not to respond".
For what reasons did the AMDH disseminate its statement, highlighting my alleged sexual aggressor, and alluding to me, the sole complainant, in the plural?, wondered Adam Muhammed.
For him, the association is firing on all cylinders to reduce his case to a "simple score settling". As proof, in its statement, it presents Adam, not as a "victim", but rather as a "person with a false identity".
According to Adam, the arrest of his alleged aggressor and his detention were based on the complaint he filed with the police. "I filed this complaint without any pressure from a certain party and published the information on Facebook," he said.
