Moroccan Jet Ski Champion Jailed for Insulting Police Officer, Violating Emergency Rules

A Moroccan Jet Ski champion was sentenced, last Monday, to a prison term, accompanied by a fine, for insulting an authority officer and violating the state of emergency.
The events took place last week in Tetouan. Yahya Rammah, accompanied by his wife, had an altercation with a police officer, making threats and insulting remarks.
This attitude, aggravated by the violation of the health state of emergency, led to his custody at the police station. He will then be brought before the courts.
The Moroccan champion, whose father owns sand quarries, was sentenced to 7 days in prison, the payment of a fine of 300 dirhams as well as damages of 10,000 dirhams to the civil party.
