Moroccan-Israeli Energy Firms Ink $1.3 Billion Green Investment Deal

The Moroccan company Gaia Energy and its Israeli counterpart Gandyr, two companies specializing in renewable energies, signed on Thursday in Casablanca a cooperation agreement.
This is a strategic partnership for an investment of 13 billion DH, spread over the next two years in the green economy.
Specifically, this amount will be used to carry out four projects, including self-production, agrivoltaics, green hydrogen, as well as the export of green electricity and private green energy production projects under law 13-09, it is specified.
To recall, the Israeli group Gandyr has already invested several billion dollars in various promising sectors, with the important reference being the sale of Mobileye to Intel for $15 billion. Marom, a subsidiary of Gandyr, is a pioneer in the field of renewable energies in Israel and is currently expanding its activities to other markets around the world.
For its part, Gaia Energy, created in 2009 by Moundir Zniber, develops renewable energy projects in Africa. It is recognized for its investments in renewable power plants. It is also present in 9 African countries with a pipeline of projects of more than 5 GW (between wind and photovoltaic solar).
