Moroccan Islamic Group’s Facebook Page Removed, Sparking Free Speech Debate

The page of the Jamaa d’Al Adl Wa Ihssane (JAOI) organization has been removed from Facebook. This situation follows the publication by the organization of a statement in the name of the Moroccan body for the defense of the affairs of the Ummah, to protest against censorship by the social network.
According to Barlamane.com, this removal is due to the ostentatiously hateful and inappropriate content of the JAOI statement. Indeed, the organization issued a statement on Friday, August 30, 2019, to express its dissatisfaction with the censorship of its page by the Facebook administration.
The JAOI had described this censorship as an "attack on freedom of expression". In addition, the Islamic organization believed that this closure was linked to collusion between Facebook and the State of Israel, the same source specifies. Nevertheless, the page of the party’s youth, already obsolete, is still present on Facebook.
